Pardon Our Mess While We Build and Edit This Page!
North Dakota- Empowering Families Elevating Futures.
From childcare programs and Best in Class classrooms to Head Start, Part B/619 preschool services, and Part C early intervention, we’re working side by side to build strong foundations for our youngest learners.
The Pyramid Model helps educators and families create positive relationships, nurturing environments, and responsive teaching strategies—while also providing supports for children who need individualized guidance.

In North Dakota, we’re not just checking boxes—we’re building real, connected systems that help every child feel like they belong. Together, we’re creating spaces where children grow, families are empowered, and providers feel confident and supported.
Let’s keep growing, together—one tier at a time.

The North Dakota Pyramid Model State Leadership Team is a collaborative partnership made up of diverse members who collectively guide, advance, and sustain the high-fidelity implementation of the Pyramid Model across early childhood settings in the state.
The Pyramid Model is a framework of evidence-based practices for promoting young children’s healthy social and emotional development. The Pyramid Model was developed by two national, federally funded research and training centers. These centers’ faculty represent nationally recognized researchers and program developers in the areas of social skills and challenging behavior.

In North Dakota, Part C Early Intervention is using the Pyramid Model to support the social-emotional development of infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities. This framework helps early intervention professionals’ partner with families to build nurturing relationships, create supportive home environments, and respond effectively to each child’s unique needs. Together, we’re laying the foundation for lifelong learning, one relationship at a time.
