Trauma-Informed Care – Foundational Content
This training will provide participants with strategies, recommendations and resources for improving Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) in early childhood programs. Participants will learn to recognize trauma and the effects on infant and early childhood brain development. As well as how to interpret behaviors through the lens of trauma. Participants will learn about the principles of TIC as they relate to caregiving relationships, program space and design; including incorporation of Pyramid model strategies.

Trauma-Informed Care – Beyond the Basics
Stress and trauma can have profound impacts on young children. Nurturing, responsive, and regulated adults provide the critical buffer needed to reduce stress and support the healthy development of all children. This interactive session will build on foundational trauma-informed care practices for early childhood programs. Participants will gain insights into creating emotionally responsive environments using trauma-informed Pyramid Model practices to help children feel safe and connected.
