Overview
Data is an essential element of the Pyramid Model.
More importantly, data decision-making helps move Pyramid Model implementation forward and on track.
We know that collecting and analyzing data can be intimating but data can also help tell a story. Take some time to explore the various resources and tools used in Pyramid Model implementation to help make data-driven decisions and examine the implementation of the Pyramid Model.

Pyramid Model Data System
Pyramid Model Implementation Data System (PIDS)
PIDS is the first ever national database specifically designed for Early Childhood programs implementing the Pyramid Model. The database is a secure, cloud-based application which provides electronic forms used in the Pyramid Model framework. Early Childhood programs are able to see and interact with their data in real-time to inform decisions around implementation, professional development, and child/family outcomes.

BIRS
Behavior Incident Report System (BIRS)
The Behavior Incident Report System (BIRS) is a tool for collecting and analyzing behavior incidents within early childhood programs. It captures detailed information that supports data-driven decision making to improve support for teachers, staff, children, and families. Monthly summaries provide formative insights into factors influencing behavioral incidents, while also offering summative data on incident frequency. Additionally, BIRS analyzes potential equity concerns by examining disproportionality across race, ethnicity, IEP status, gender, and dual language learner status.
