Practice-Based Coaching (PBC) is a research-based coaching model that focuses on improving specific teaching practices to build the quality of teaching and learning. PBC has a long history and proven track record of providing the kind of support that leads to visible improvement in the early childhood education field.

Pyramid Model Practices
Expert Coach Training
This training is designed to prepare coaches to deliver practice-based coaching to classroom practitioners who are implementing the Pyramid Model. During this training we will (1) identify key components of Practice-Based Coaching, (2) describe characteristics of collaborative partnerships, (3) practice creating goals and action plans, (4) conduct focused observation based on action plans, and (5) prepare prompts for reflection and feedback.
Group Coach Training
Group Coaching is an effective and efficient way to deliver Practice-Based Coaching on Pyramid Model Practices in a group context. Group Coaching meetings are facilitated by a coach and are a way for teachers to learn about social-emotional teaching practices, plan to implement practices, share video, reflect, and provide feedback to peers on their use of practices.
PBC for Early Intervention
This training is designed to prepare coaches to deliver practice-based coaching to Part C interventionists who are implementing the Pyramid Model. During this training we will (1) identify key components of Practice-Based Coaching, (2) describe characteristics of collaborative partnerships, (3) practice creating goals and action plans, (4) conduct focused observation based on action plans, and (5) prepare prompts for reflection and feedback.
PBC Community of Practice
This is an opportunity for coaches to come together on a regular basis for ongoing professional development, share celebrations and struggles, and get input and insight from other coaches. Includes 8, 1-hour sessions. More or less sessions can be requested.
