This training is for preschool teams to learn a manualized set of strategies for designing and implementing assessment-based interventions for children with the most significant challenging behaviors. This training is targeted at behavioral specialists and others that write behavioral support plans in preschool settings. Participants will gain a knowledge of the content and steps of the PTR-YC process. As well as understanding functions of behavior and how important it is in developing behavior plans. Finally, participants will explore using data to track behaviors and inform decision-making.

This process is intended for 2-5 people to take a deeper dive into how to facilitate teams in the PTR-YC process. This interactive series (13- hour commitment) will guide participants step-by-step through each phase of PTR-YC using a structured case study. Participants will gain practical experience and strategies for effectively facilitating each meeting in the process.

Every participant will have the opportunity to observe, play a role, and debrief each meeting of the PTR-YC process. After a brief overview of the meeting content, participants will combine to form teams and work through a case study with built in time for questions and follow up.
