The Iowa Early Childhood-Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (EC-PBIS) State Leadership is a collaborative partnership of members who collectively advance and sustain the implementation of the Pyramid Model. The Iowa EC-PBIS SLT is led by representatives from the public and private sectors in Iowa including the Department of Education, Health and Human Services, Area Education Agencies, Child Care Resource and Referral and HeadStart.
Structure of Iowa EC-PBIS State Leadership
Iowa EC-PBIS State Leadership is composed of 3 tiers of leadership which includes the Administrative Team (Admin Team), the Executive Team and the Advisory Team.
The Administrative Team (Admin Team) is composed of representatives from the Iowa Department of Education and the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services. The Admin Team is responsible for planning and supervising the initiative, including: funding support, policy initiatives, evaluation, data-based decision making and public awareness as well as final decision-making regarding training, coaching and site selection. The Admin Team is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the meetings and work of the Executive and Advisory Teams.
The Executive Team is responsible for collectively advancing and sustaining the implementation of the Pyramid Model. The primary purpose of the Executive Team is to ensure support and resources are available to sites so they can adopt and use the selected evidence-based practices with fidelity.
The Advisory Team is an interagency group with the primary purpose to advise the Executive and Admin Teams regarding the implementation and sustainability of the Pyramid Model and build connections across sectors.

Strategic Plan, Priority Areas and Goals
The Iowa EC-PBIS State Leadership has three overarching priority areas of work:

- Connect EC-PBIS to other initiatives, innovations, agencies and work; Professional Development Network Purpose Document
Iowa EC-PBIS State Leadership operated from a 5-yr Strategic Plan. Annually, State Leadership reviews and updates the strategic plan and goals as needed. Each goal and objective is aligned with the State Benchmarks of Quality (BoQ).
